W&A Engineering is proud to announce that November 1, 2014 marked our 15th year anniversary. W&A began with the idea of establishing an all-encompassing design firm in the northeast Georgia area to serve the growing communities.  Over the past 15 years, the firm has grown from a one-person operation into a diverse company of 23 talented civil and traffic engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, planners, and support staff.  The diversity has enabled us to realize our original goal while providing our clients with a superior level of service.  We owe our success to our clients and a thoroughly great group of professionals.

Since its inception in 1999, the firm has provided the highest quality product at a reasonable cost and ensures that clients are treated with honesty and respect at all times. We take great pride in providing sound advice that may prevent either a potentially disastrous investment or promote a prosperous financial return. Clients remain faithful to W&A because of the assurance of timeliness, quality and care for each project. We develop and maintain positive, long-term business relationships with clients because of our commitment to consistently deliver a quality product in a timely manner, and at a reasonable cost – all while providing the highest level of customer service.

During this time of celebration, W&A would like to recognize two employees who have been with us for 10 years: Scott Haines and Michael Greenlee.

Scott Haines, Director of Landscape Architecture, W&A Engineering

Scott Haines, RLA, LEEP AP, Director of Landscape Architecture, joined W&A in September 2004 after graduating from the University of Georgia’s Landscape Architecture program.  Since joining W&A, Mr. Haines has proved to be a valuable asset to the firm. Mr. Haines was appointed to Director of Landscape Architecture in 2013.  His department oversees coordination of all rezones, analysis and soft and hardscape design for commercial and residential projects, entrance/amenity design, and construction management. His department also coordinates the color renderings and models produced through the latest CAD and other advanced computer graphics software programs. Mr. Haines is a LEED Accredited Professional and has worked on certifying teams for both LEED NC and LEED for Homes projects.

Mike Greenlee, Project Engineer, W&A Engineering

Michael (Mike) Greenlee, PE, joined W&A in 2004 after graduating with a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2001, with a focus on structural engineering and a minor in Management of Technology. Prior to joining W&A, Mr. Greenlee gained significant experience in civil engineering through his work as a Land Development Engineer for the Athens-Clarke County Department of Transportation and Public Works. This position placed him in charge of the Flood Plain Administration, Plan Review, as well as the Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Program. In addition, Mr. Greenlee has served as supervisor to a team of Public Works inspectors for the Athens-Clarke County Public Works Department. Mr. Greenlee is part of the Traffic Engineering Division of W&A, which provides services such as traffic impact studies and analyses, traffic reports, signal warrant analyses, and signal designs.

W&A is fortunate to have employed these valued professionals for the past 10 years. We truly appreciate the dedication and hard work Haines and Greenlee have provided W&A and we are proud to have them represent our firm.

We thank our clients for a great 15 years, and we look forward to continuing to serve them.
